Project Women’s Care

Burmese security forces have committed widespread rape against women and girls as part of a campaign of ethnic cleansing against Rohingya Muslims in Burma’s Rakhine State – Human Rights Watch stated in a report.

Fifteen-year-old Hala Sadak, from Hathi Para village in Maungdaw Township, said soldiers had stripped her naked and then dragged her from her home to a nearby tree where, she estimates, about 10 men raped her from behind. She said, “They left me where I was…when my brother and sister came to get me, I was lying there on the ground, they thought I was dead.”

Latino Muslim Project

BDesh Foundation has embarked on a significant journey through its sponsored project, demonstrating a commitment to support and uplift the new Muslim community. We can give new hope to many deserving patients by working together to raise funds to make a difference.

Supporting New Muslims

At the heart of what we do, and one of the main reasons for our existence is to offer support to the new Muslim community. One of the many things that we do is hold yearly Eid celebrations for the entire family to enjoy. Holidays can be lonely for many Muslims who may not have families to celebrate with, this allows us to have a place to enjoy the day of Eid.  Breaking bread with each other during the fasting month allows us to feel a greater connection with the community during these blessed days.

Convert support, classes and lectures ( at Adams Sterling) are also part of what we do, bringing topics relevant to the convert community. Our events are open to everyone and we encourage new Muslims to bring their families and friends. Many times close relatives of new Muslims are challenged with understanding why someone has accepted a faith that may seem foreign. These events provide a space to ask questions and meet other Muslims that have experienced a similar journey. Our hope is that others can learn about our faith and hold open conversations where they can have their questions answered. All of this and more is offered to provide support and a resource   for our community.

Iftar Gatherings

Throughout Northern Virginia, Iftar gatherings are held, primarily at Bdesh’s SAM kitchen during the month of Ramadan. Breaking bread during the fasting month fosters a greater connection with the community in these blessed days.

Feeding Our Neighbors

“Feeding Our Neighbors” is a humble effort to distribute warm meals and compassion to those in need on the streets of Northern Virginia and Washington DC. Every Saturday, Latina Muslimahs Project and Bdesh SAM Community kitchen members and volunteers team up to package home-cooked meals and essentials for distribution.

Food Pantry

Serving neighbors in need from the SAM community kitchen, you can contribute to the food pantry during office hours

Serving in Central America

The Latino Muslim project is expanding to Central America, with a primary focus on Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras.

Yearly Eid Celebrations

The Rohingya people are one of the world’s most persecuted minorities. Thousands of Rohingya refugees fled Myanmar during previous waves of violence and persecution. Most are housed in precarious shelters in overcrowded settlements, making them vulnerable to transmission of disease.

The Rohingya are a Muslim ethnic minority who have been living in Myanmar for hundreds of years. They are stateless and face particular difficulties obtaining access to health care and other basic rights because Myanmar’s government has denied them citizenship.

Rohingya Shelter

An Appeal For Rohingya Relief

Since August 25, 2017, the Burmese military has committed killings, rapes, arbitrary arrests, and mass arson of homes in hundreds of predominantly Rohingya villages in northern Rakhine State, forcing more than 700,000 Rohingya to flee to neighboring Bangladesh. Human Rights Watch has found that this abuse amounts to crimes against humanity under international law.

BDesh Foundation has working partners in Bangladesh who are authorized to work inside the Rohingya camps and assess the needs of authorized camps:

In December of 2017 the Founder of Dar-El-Salam Travel Haji Moustafa and Executive Imam of ADAMS Center Mohamed Magid traveled to the Rohingya Refugee Camps in Cox’s Bazaar. They volunteered and saw in person the hard work and dedication the BDesh partners have put into the Rohingya Camps. You can recapture some of their experience in the video above.

DONATE TO ROHINGYA REFUGEES

BDesh Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization that assists the citizens of the world. Currently, we are focusing on projects in Bangladesh and the United States. We also develop charities for Rohingya people and help them live in a healthy environment, receive an education, and live in peace. Donate to BDesh foundation and be part of humanity by helping Rohingya refugees.

In Myanmar, the Rohingya are a Muslim minority group that endures discrimination living conditions, and frequent massacres ordered by the government. They are not recognized as citizens by the government, and they have witnessed the worst humanitarian crises of our time. Many of these people are sick, exhausted, and in severe need of shelter, food, and water as they struggle to survive in numerous refugee camps. As a result of being damped by rain and being without supplementary clothing, people are afflicted with numerous diseases. In the Rohingya camps, thousands of lives are in ruins. All of the Rohingya refugees and possessions that the children and their relatives had were destroyed by the fire. You can give to charities for Rohingya refugees, and participate in humanity.

We need your help and support so please donate to Rohingya refugees.

BDesh Foundation currently has three different Rohingya donation projects on the grounds. If you donate to Rohingya refugees, you will be able to provide lifesaving support to them. BDesh has been helping Rohingya people by collecting relief items refugees need. Donate to Rohingya refugees today.
